Tagged

While catching up on my blog and reading other friends blog I came to realize that I was tagged from my friend Stephanie. Stephanie and I used to work at an insurance agency together..her family is absolutely amazing and every time I read her blog I learn something new!

Now here is what I am supposed to do:

Here are the rules:1. Choose the 4th folder where I store my pictures on the computer.2. Select the 4th picture in the folder.3. Explain the picture.4. Tag 4 people to do the same.5. No cheating (cropping, editing, etc.)Here is the 4th picture located in the 4th folder.

The picture was taken at Lets Jump for Brady's 5th Birthday...Emily his sister is defiantly enjoying the inflatable slide =)
Now I am tagging: Amy, Jennifer, Tiffany and Desiree

The Artist in the Family..

Brady who is 7 has been in art class for a year now. Here are some of the paintings that he has done...the first one pictured is his most recent painting. He LOVES going to art class and thanks to Grandma and Papa (present at Christmas) he will be attending another semester. I can't wait to see what else he paints, paper mache, watercolor, pastels, charcoal and lots of other artsy things he comes home with!

Swimming Lessons

Thanks fo Mimi and Grandad for swimming lessons as a present for Christmas this year!! The kids were very excited to jump in the pool and learn new things. Brady practised floating in water with his face in and his arms and legs spread out. Emily learned to put her face in the water for 10 seconds and to kick her feet the right way =)

I forgot I had my camera until the very end so these are just a few shots by the pool and in the bathroom after they were done. This is a 13 week session so definitly more pics to come!

Brady and Emily what a CRAZY day!

Well today Brady decided he would make a money transaction at school today. He has been coming home for weeks now saying that this kid at school wants to sell him a tank for $20. Well after many discussions with Brady he was told not to be buying or selling any toys at school. Like any 7 year old who doesn't listen to there mom and dad he decided that today was the day to purchase the tank since he only had to pay $7 instead of $20...apparently is was on clearance! After a phone call from the pastor wife explaining that her son conned Brady into buying this tank tomorrow a refund will be made and the tank will be given back. I think it is hilarious how these two boys have been planning this for weeks...oh well they will learn a lesson. Attached is the picture of the tank that Brady bought...as Nick said it was NOT a good deal since it is a size of a hotwheel car =)

Well was filled with excitement with Mrs. Drama Queen Emily..I walked in the door from getting the mail and she immediately notice her new princess magazine (thanks grandma for that Christmas gift ) and ran to her room to read it. After a few minutes there was a loud excited squeal that came from her room. I of course ran in there to find out what was going on and Emily was pulling down every princess dress she owns to find her "Bell" dress to be just like the girl dressed up in the magazine. After putting on every princess dress she owns and finding the matching dress in the picture she came and told me that she needed her ears pierced and her hair up like "Bell". After pouring hair detangler all over her and thankfully not trying to pierce her ears I quickly snapped a few pics of my princess with all her princess dresses and her beloved magazine.

The Wife of Noble Character Proverbs 31:10-31

As many people make resolutions in January I wanted to share something that I have read that touched my heart. Below is a passage from the Bible explaining The Wife of Noble Character. I am going to commit to becoming more like her everyday as this is how God wants wives to be..a blessing to there husbands, family and anyone that comes in contact with her.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

10 [c] A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.
11 Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value.
12 She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.
13 She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands.
14 She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar.
15 She gets up while it is still dark; she provides food for her family and portions for her servant girls.
16 She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.
17 She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks.
18 She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night.
19 In her hand she holds the distaff and grasps the spindle with her fingers.
20 She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy.
21 When it snows, she has no fear for her household; for all of them are clothed in scarlet.
22 She makes coverings for her bed; she is clothed in fine linen and purple.
23 Her husband is respected at the city gate, where he takes his seat among the elders of the land.
24 She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies the merchants with sashes.
25 She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.
26 She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
27 She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.
28 Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her:
29 "Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all."
30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.
31 Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

The pets..

A quick update on the pets in the McGregor family. Bullet are "big boned" yellow lab is doing what he does best..laying around. He is about 5 years old and loves playing with the kids in the backyard.

We finally got the aquarium up and running and today we put 11 new fish in the tank. The kids are really excited since they each picked out a couple, now they are fighting between which one will feed the fish tonight and what names each fish will have...I think Emily is winning =)

New Years Day Fishing

After taking down all the Christmas decorations and putting the house back in order, Nick and I thought it would be a good idea to take the kids fishing. There is a great little fishing pond in Southlake that Nick found that is stocked every Wednesday. We went for just a little bit yesterday evening and caught 3 very small perch that we through back. Today we were there for several hours but didn't catch anything but the kids had a blast. I think this might become a regular family outting.
